The “Technochoros” gallery at the Acropolis of Athens, with its program “Out of the Walls”, takes us to Paris!
On Friday, 9 March 2018, at 18:30, the Parisian gallery “Desmos” and “Technochoros” invite us to the opening of Christina Fytili’s wall sculpture exhibition L’Una. The exhibition will be hosted at the “Desmos” gallery, 14 rue Vandamme, Montparnasse, Paris, until 24 March 2019, under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Paris.
Yiorgos Tsakiris, painter and professor at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, has said about the artist: ‘Christina Fytili is a young artist who believes that painting is a constant struggle to translate the three dimensions into the language of painting and design, which is often the language of chromatic harmonies; she has been supporting this claim since her student years. Her intuition, aided by her technical skills, brings about works full of chromatic juices that strikes the spectators’ intimate chords. Artists are known to manifest themselves through their created works; here, color is treated as a concept that develops itself, creating chromatic zones and fields in order to reach the final stage of the research’.
Marianna Vardinoyiannis, President of the “ELPIDA [Hope] Association of Friends of Children with Cancer”, and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, has said about the artist: ‘Christina Fytili, our Christina, is a gifted girl that grew up to become a talented, charismatic artist. Her experiences, her dreams, her hopes, and also her tears, are among the materials of her works. Every one of her works, with its own character, becomes a part of an experience that transforms itself and carries to the spectator its history, through its colors, texture and materials. Christina cannot stay unaffected by the communication and interaction with the spectators of her works, through their touch and their exchange of emotions and experiences. Our memories is what helps us enjoy what we see, and Art is probably the best way to express and interpret emotions and the colorings of our soul. Works that give shape to the artist’s dream paths: this is the content of the exhibition L’Una, a landmark in Christina’s artistic career!’
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Paris.
